The Hungry Moose is a newer barbecue spot on Church Street in downtown Spencer, the Black Walnut Festival town in Roane County. On the menu are pulled pork, brisket, chicken and sausage, with classic sides like baked beans, slaw and salt potatoes. The sauce selection is the part reviewers keep coming back to. A rider in the WVB thread pointed out that the roads around Spencer are worth the trip as well.
