Cast Iron Smokers started as a barbecue food truck. Founder Kevin Shumaker then moved it into a permanent room on Robert C. Byrd Drive in Beckley's MacArthur area, which locals know as Crab Orchard. He calls the concept "sports barbecue": slow-smoked meats served in a sports bar. It's on the south side of town, handy for I-64/I-77, and it stays open late Tuesday through Saturday. It was the most-talked-about pick in the WVB BBQ thread.
