This year's Back to Back Saddle-Sore will begin and end at the Carmichael's Irish Pub (aka Hoagy's Garage). September 17 – 29: New England Motorcycle Mission Trip Sponsored by Wheel Power Christian Cyclists The 2,220 mile ride starts at 8:00 am at Wheel Power Headquarters in Lynchburg. The ride will go through 10 states in 13 days. Riders will travel north to Portland, Maine and then return to Virginia traveling on a different route along the Eastern Coastline. The event includes bike games, loud pipes contest, burnout contest, guided rides, music, vendors, entertainment, contests, camping and more. The bike games will include hot dog bite off, water balloon toss, ball roll, pick up your balls, slow ride, Maxwell house, wet n wild, and tire toss. Prizes will be awarded for contest winners. The rid e begins at 8:30 am and will visit fire stations throughout Bucks County. The ride fee is $20.00 per person. September 16 – 19: DelMarva Bike Week, This year's locations will be Harley-Davidson of Ocean City, Seaford Harley-Davidson, Winter Place Park in Salisbury and Seacrets in Ocean City. If it's not one of these four, it's not an official Delmarva Bike Week location. This has always been a free event and still is now. No fee to get in and no fee for any of the entertainment. September 25: The 5th Annual Ride for Life Motorcycle & Music Event Sponsored by Baltimore Harley Davidson, McAvoy's of Parkville, Cwhateyesee Images The ride begins at Baltimore Harley-Davidson, 8845 Pulaski Highway. Registration begins at 9:00 am. The ride fee is $30.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a passenger. The first 150 riders will get a ride patch, rocker and ride pin. The ride leaves at 11:30 am for a 60 mile police escorted ride. The ride ends with lunch, music and a silent auction. The ride will benefit Baltimore Child Abuse Center. September 26: Baltimore Washington Ride For Kids, Riders on all makes and models are welcome. Family friendly event. Police escorted ride through scenic countryside. Registration is from 7:30 am - 9:15 am at the Turf Valley Resort Parking Lot. $35(min) per motorcycle. All proceeds go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Ride starts at 9:30 am. Light breakfast at start and lunch at the end are provided. Premiums for levels of contribution are provided, in addition, recognition for the largest individual, dealer, and club donations following the program.
